About the Role

As a software engineer at Google, you will be part of a team that develops cutting-edge technologies that change the way billions of users interact with information and each other. Our products require handling massive amounts of data, and we're looking for engineers who can bring fresh ideas from various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for Google's products.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, and adapt it based on product updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues, debug, and resolve them by analyzing sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with Android application development.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.

At Google, we offer a competitive salary range of $136,000-$200,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
