Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Program Consultant in the Office of Population Health at the University of California, Davis. This is a critical position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and project management abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tobacco prevention projects at the local and statewide levels.
  • Provide consultation and technical assistance to local, state, and federal agencies, as well as community organizations.
  • Conduct policy analysis and develop recommendations to support tobacco prevention strategies.
  • Manage contracts and grants, and provide administrative support for program operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement program policies, procedures, and evaluation plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health promotion, community health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public health program management, policy analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in contract and grant administration.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of California state government and tobacco prevention policies and programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in public health, health promotion, community health, or a related field.
  • Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on tobacco prevention.
  • Knowledge of program planning, including needs assessments, measurable objectives, and evaluation plans.
  • Experience in policy analysis and development, with a focus on tobacco prevention.
