Position Summary:

The Financial Services Technical Lead serves as a pivotal consultant, leveraging both functional and technical expertise to assist clients in deploying ServiceNow's Financial Services Operations (FSO) solutions. This role emphasizes best practices tailored for the Banking and Insurance sectors, aiming to enhance customer business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery:

  • Act as the primary technical liaison for project engagements, representing the development team to clients.
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables from the technical team, addressing client concerns and streamlining processes for efficiency.
  • Design technical solutions that align with client business challenges and adhere to ServiceNow Implementation Best Practices.
  • Translate customer requirements into high-quality technical solutions, ensuring effective communication and delivery.
  • Monitor development progress, manage story writing and estimation, and uphold the overall quality of deliverables.
  • Facilitate technical onboarding for new clients, assessing their existing processes and configurations.
  • Deliver all agreed-upon development artifacts and documentation, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with engagement managers to manage project scope and resolve critical technical issues.
  • Provide mentorship to developers and technical consultants on design standards and best practices.
  • Research and evaluate technology partner solutions for integration with client requirements.

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its offerings.
  • Assist pre-sales teams in scoping service engagements that involve multiple ServiceNow products and complex integrations.
  • Promote ServiceNow Expert Services through contributions to whitepapers, webinars, and community initiatives.

Product Collaboration:

  • Work closely with ServiceNow product teams on new service offerings and market strategies.
  • Engage with product teams during implementations to share insights and feedback on new features.

Leadership and Development:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Delivery Services processes and practices.
  • Play a senior role within the Customer and Industry Workflow Practice for Financial Services, helping to shape strategic goals.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in consultation or configuration of complex technologies, preferably within ServiceNow.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing enterprise architectures and technical roadmaps.
  • A strong understanding of the financial services sector, including system architecture and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence and consult with senior leaders in large organizations.
  • Experience in creating implementation design artifacts and conducting solution presentations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Certifications:
As a ServiceNow Expert Services Consultant, ongoing learning and certification are essential. Required certifications include:

  • Certified System Administrator
  • Certified Application Designer
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Customer Service Management
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Field Service Management
  • Financial Services – Banking and Wealth Management Suite
  • Financial Services – Insurance Suite
  • Certified Technical Architect (within the first year)
