Environmental Remediation Engineer

Your Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Engineer to join our team in Stantec's Walnut Creek, CA office. As a key member of our environmental team, you'll work on complex projects involving site investigation, characterization, and remediation activities. You'll collaborate with senior engineers, geologists, and scientists to evaluate site data, apply engineering principles, and make remedial decisions in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and experts.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Work with senior engineers and geologists to perform various aspects of environmental projects, including data collection, analysis, and remedial decision-making.
  • Prepare and coordinate production of deliverables such as work plans, site investigation reports, remedial investigations, and feasibility studies.
  • Conduct field investigations and related activities, including site inspections, environmental monitoring, and data collection.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of remedial actions for contaminated soil and groundwater.
  • Support and lead onsite construction observation, contractor coordination, and daily inspection reports.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with contractors and third parties.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software and technologies.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, with 3-4 years of environmental engineering experience.
