Job Title: Senior Java Programmer

SYSCOM, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our Integration Layer team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex Java applications, ensuring seamless integration with our state Eligibility Technology System.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Java developer with a strong background in Java programming, Spring MVC, and IBM integration Bus (IIB). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, with a focus on reliability, flexibility, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test complex Java applications, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain technical design documents, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for existing Java applications, ensuring they remain stable, secure, and efficient.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code meets the required standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and tools, applying this knowledge to improve our software solutions.
Requirements:
  • Seven (7) years' experience in Java programming/development role.
  • Four (4) years' experience working with state government health insurance systems on its' insurance benefit enrollments.
  • Five (5) years' experience developing in Java using Spring MVC.
  • Two (2) years' IBM integration Bus (IIB) experience.
  • One (1) year IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) experience.
Desired Skills:
  • Three (3) years' StreamEDS experience.
  • One (1) year Drools experience.
  • Computer Science or Information Technology degree.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated proficiency providing analysis and development/programming using WebSphere application server, JPA/Hibernate, Maven, XML, Junit, Jquery, and Ajax, Java Script, Spring Boot, Oracle database, and writing SQL statements in Oracle, SOAP/REST Web services.
