Job Overview

Objective of the Role:

The primary aim is to facilitate the management of materials to ensure their availability for production and other departments. This includes preparing products for dispatch to clients in pre-packaged formats, encompassing both packaging and labeling tasks, as well as assisting in the transportation of products to designated customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement utilizing Lean methodologies.

  • Articulate the quality policy and objectives, your role in maintaining quality, and the implications of not adhering to standards.
  • Execute Production Work Orders in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Receive materials into inventory following company protocols.
  • Conduct cycle counts of materials.
  • Perform data entry for transactions.
  • Package products in alignment with pre-pack instructions.
  • Label products accurately.
  • Ensure products are packaged to prevent damage during transit.
  • Verify sales orders against actual products shipped for precision.
  • Prepare sales orders for shipment.
  • Generate shipping manifests.
  • Dispatch orders promptly to fulfill delivery commitments.
  • Inform relevant team members of any discrepancies from the plan.
  • Adhere to Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of Lean principles.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience operating tow motors (certification preferred); familiarity with ERP systems; background in warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Strong organizational abilities; effective time management; safety awareness; data entry proficiency; inventory oversight; and excellent communication skills.
  • Comply with and operate within the Quality Management System.
  • Experience in an ISO 9001-certified setting.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in handling electronic components; familiarity with IFS ERP systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to operate a computer and keyboard; use a phone; sit for extended periods; communicate effectively using speech, hearing, and vision. Moderate lifting capability (up to 40 lbs.); moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. Fine motor skills are essential. Ability to stand for an entire shift, as well as walk, climb stairs, and bend as necessary.
