Diesel Hydraulic Mechanic Job Description

TREO STAFFING LLC is seeking a skilled Diesel Hydraulic Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Hydraulic Mechanic, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders, as well as troubleshooting mobile and industrial equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Repair Hydraulic Systems: Test and inspect hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot Equipment: Troubleshoot mobile and industrial equipment and systems to identify and repair issues.
  • Conduct Field Service Calls: Conduct field service calls for various hydraulically-powered systems and machines for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Install Hydraulic Components: Install hydraulic components onto in-house or onsite customer equipment.
  • Perform Routine Repairs: Perform routine repairs, including oil and tire changes, on vehicles with diesel engines.
  • Interpret Diagnostic Test Results: Interpret diagnostic test results accurately to determine the cause of equipment issues.
  • Write Inspection Reports: Write detailed inspection reports and repair plans for clients.
  • Manage a Team: Hire, train, and manage a team of trainees to assist with equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate with other diesel mechanics to ensure efficient and effective equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Present Reports to Clients: Present reports and plans to clients for approval.
  • Advise Clients on Repair Options: Advise clients on repair options and costs.
  • Test Drive Vehicles: Complete test drives to ensure vehicles run correctly after repairs.
  • Use Safety Equipment: Use power, machine, and hand tools safely to prevent injury and damage to equipment.
  • Follow Regulations: Follow all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards.
