Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector in Gilbert, AZ.

About the Role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing duties contributing to Integration and Test (I&T) activities for space vehicle systems and their supporting hardware. You will coordinate and oversee mechanical build and production operations performed by the technical staff, and support the development of test procedures, processes, and support hardware designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of test procedures, processes, and support hardware designs.
  • Perform duties contributing to Integration and Test (I&T) activities for space vehicle systems and their supporting hardware.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area and 5 years of related experience OR Master's Degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas; integration, test, mechanical operations, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government DoD clearance (Top Secret level).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability/desire to lead a team of less experienced engineers.
  • Experience with design modeling and drawing efforts using 3-D modeling tools.
  • Deltek MES experience for generating work instructions.
  • Experience with PTC PLM Software Suite: Windchill, Creo, Creo View, etc.
  • Experience handling space flight components and have a working knowledge of manufacturing processes applicable to spaceflight hardware.
  • Familiarity with TipQA for processing non-conformances.
  • Experience with hazardous operations: Crane operation, aerial platforms, battery handling, etc.
