The Maintenance and Operations Department is in search of (1) HVAC Systems Inspector to enhance our already exceptional team and elevate the Building Maintenance Department to new heights of excellence.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of HVAC systems and related equipment. In addition to supporting departmental operations, the HVAC Systems Inspector will also:
  • Operate and maintain chillers, split systems, pumps, boilers, heaters, and related equipment on a daily basis.
  • Conduct vibration analysis, nondestructive testing, lubrication, and other maintenance assessments.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate the efforts of contractors and vendors for equipment maintenance.
  • Prepare inspection reports and documentation related to mechanical and building equipment.
  • Perform general repair tasks for doors and windows.
  • Execute minor electrical wiring tasks.
  • Carry out minor plumbing repairs.
  • Perform general maintenance duties, such as replacing light bulbs.
  • Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Technical or vocational degree with two years of HVAC experience; or a high school diploma or GED with four years of HVAC experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Must possess the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Technician CFC/HCFC and HFC Universal certification as required by 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F, or be certified within six months of employment.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Familiarity with the methods and practices of equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and operation.
  • Knowledge of large chiller systems.
  • Understanding of building, mechanical, and trades areas.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve equipment failures.
  • Capability to access confined spaces.
