About the Role

Meijer is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications using .Net, C#, SQL, REST API, and Azure technologies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure development conforms to acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile software development and contribute to the development of business applications.
  • Collaborate with business product owners, developers, and quality analysts to drive value delivery.
  • Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new package system evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems.
  • Assist product owners in systems analysis and creation or updating of documentation for all business processes.
  • Interface with the Product Owner and IT partners to develop acceptance criteria for features and user stories.
  • Work within the SAFe Agile framework and utilize ITIL best practices.
  • Participate in structured walkthroughs, secure coding, and technical reviews ensuring application coding and design follows secure coding and design principles.
  • Assist in the production support and maintenance of applications in accordance with ITIL as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Proficient with .Net, C#, SQL, REST API, and Azure technologies.
  • Any SAFe certification (SSM, SASM, SA, SPC, SPMPO).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Prefer experience in systems development and programming.
  • Familiarity with business systems.
  • Experience as a team member on project teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience on Agile teams is preferred.
  • Experience in design and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Knowledge of development tools, coding and scripting languages, SQL, and testing.
  • Proficient in multiple technologies or systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
  • Knowledge of database management and file access methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of agile practices in a cross-functional environment preferred.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Ability to provide high level of quality and productivity.
