We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow our talented engineering team while contributing to the development of cutting-edge products that serve our diverse customer base.
Role OverviewAs a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a critical leadership role, overseeing the technical direction and execution of projects while mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
You'll lead teams building a variety of products both web-based and local applications in technologies such as Go, Java, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of feature sets in a full-stack environment, including microservices in Go, front-ends in React, and various backends like Elasticsearch.
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and operations, to ensure our software solutions are delivered efficiently, on time, and meet the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Manage and prioritize the team's work, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet business goals.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our software products, working closely with product managers and designers.
- Ensure engineering best practices, including code quality, security, and scalability.
- Drive technical decision-making and provide guidance on architecture and technology stack choices.
- Actively participate in hiring, onboarding, and professional development of team members.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to key stakeholders regularly.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong background in software development with proficiency in technologies like Go, Typescript, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
- Experience managing a team of engineers in an agile environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure), microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to balance technical responsibilities with people management and mentorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Lead the engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering goals with product and business objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments, keeping stakeholders informed on progress.
