Radiologic Technologist II- Part Time 32

As a Radiologic Technologist II at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. You will operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality of patient care. Your expertise will be essential in performing specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures, preparing and positioning patients for imaging, and adjusting equipment controls to produce images of proper detail and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Adjust equipment controls to produce high-quality images
- Operate mobile radiologic equipment in various settings, including operating rooms and patient bedsides
- Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations
- Process and review images for proper identification and quality control
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California)
- Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
- Basic Life Support
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
