Position Title: Teaching Fellow
Salary Range: Refer to the institutional guidelines for the salary range applicable to this role. Compensation is based on a full-time annual salary of $69,139. Teaching Fellows will typically be appointed for no more than 50% time during the academic semesters.
Percent Time: 25% - 50%
OR
Up to 100% during the summer session only.
Position Duration: The appointment may last for one semester or a summer term.

Position Description
The School of Engineering is seeking to hire Teaching Fellows for both lower- and upper-division courses for the upcoming academic year, including the Summer Session, in the following areas:
- Management of Innovation, Sustainability, and Technology
- Management of Complex Systems
- Engineering Fundamentals (courses may include: Introduction to Materials, Statics and Dynamics, Circuit Theory, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Strength of Materials, Spatial Analysis, Information Systems, etc.)
Under the guidance of a faculty member, the Teaching Fellow will take charge of leading course instruction. Additional responsibilities may encompass grading, facilitating discussion sections when necessary, and holding office hours.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced to candidacy for the Ph.D.
- Master's degree in the relevant field or a related discipline, or Advanced to Candidacy for the Ph.D.
- Maintenance of a qualifying grade point average.
- Eligibility to hold the appointment as per the Graduate Policies and Procedures Handbook.
- Must be a registered graduate student in full-time residence.
- Must have successfully completed an Oral English Proficiency Examination (if applicable).
Additional Qualifications:
Teaching Fellows must be advanced to candidacy for the Ph.D.
