Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team at PeaceHealth Medical Group in Longview, Washington. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our physicians and staff, and contribute to the success of our medical group.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical exams to assist in formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures and studies.
- Assist with outpatient visits and provide needed procedures, including assisting in surgery.
- Perform procedures, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.
- Order, prescribe, and dispense medication and durable goods as allowed by state and within scope of practice.
- Maintain required records and write progress notes on patient charts as to status, treatments, and procedures.
- Counsel patients on preventative care, medical problems, exercise, and the use of prescribed medications and treatments.
- Accredited Program Required: Physician Assistant.
- Board certified by the AAPA.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Basic Life Support certification.
