Physician - Internal Medicine Specialist

At Altea Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to join our team as a Medical Director for our post-acute care facilities. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical direction and oversight to our healthcare providers, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical direction and oversight to healthcare providers in post-acute facilities.
- Develop and implement holistic medical services to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the medical team to provide primary medical care services to patients.
- Act as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting patient health.
- Exercise professional judgment and provide consultation to providers concerning patient treatment.
- Collaborate with Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and facility staff to identify patient needs and develop plans to meet these needs.
- Follow patients in post-acute skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation, assisted living, and other post-acute care facilities.
- Assist providers with emergency treatments and complex procedures.
- Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and objectives; ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety; and environmental and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year experience in a Primary Care/Internal Medicine physician role in a post-acute facility.
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited United States medical school.
- Successful completion of a residency program at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency (Preferred).
- Current license in the State of Washington.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing.
