We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Acousti Engineering. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing wallboards, drywall, and plasterboard in commercial and government projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning: Read and understand project blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Team Supervision: Supervise relevant construction teams to ensure efficient project execution.
- Material Preparation: Measure and cut materials to meet project requirements.
- Quality Control: Ensure all seams are perfectly straight and corners are square and even.
- Installation: Install wallboard, drywall, or plasterboard in construction projects.
- Hanging and Fastening: Hang drywall on ceilings and walls using nails or screws for fastening into place.
- Inspection and Verification: Inspect completed work and verify it with the design and blueprint.
- Equipment Operation: Operate powder actuated tools and lasers as required.
- Work Environment: Work indoors and outdoors, and be able to use scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work individually and as a team player, and maintain open communication with project stakeholders.
- Scheduling and Phasing: Maintain construction schedules, including phasing, to ensure timely project completion.
- Commercial Experience: Have commercial drywall hanging experience with knowledge of material, methods, tools, and plans/layouts/prints involved in the installation of sheetrock, gyp board, plasterboard, and wallboard.
- Trade Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in a relative trade.
- Tools and Transportation: Possess necessary tools and transportation to perform job duties.
- Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Drug Test: Ability to pass a drug test.
