As a Banquet Manager, you will be integral in delivering exceptional experiences for our clientele. Your leadership skills and commitment to excellence will ensure the seamless execution of banquet events, maintaining the highest levels of service and guest satisfaction.

Your role will involve managing daily operations within the banquet and set-up areas, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily functions of the Banquet and Set-Up department.
  • Train and mentor staff through a continuous training program.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels by utilizing effective hiring and interviewing techniques.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Conference Services and Catering to meet client specifications.
  • Manage payroll and timekeeping for associates.
  • Schedule staff according to business volume and guest requirements while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet and set-up areas.
  • Ensure that all banquet spaces meet resort standards and client expectations.
  • Oversee the presentation of themes and holiday concepts for events.
  • Monitor service and quality standards during all functions.
  • Conduct inventory control and manage ordering of necessary supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding event statuses.
  • Maintain accurate records for gratuity distribution.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the banquet sector.
  • Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver's License.


To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high standard of service. The position requires physical stamina, as it involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 100 pounds. Additionally, the work environment may vary in temperature and noise levels.
