We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Duke Health Integrated Practice in Durham, NC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and urgent echocardiograms, including 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, and Stress Echocardiogram, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in echocardiography and be able to thoroughly evaluate pathology following current guidelines (American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), American College of Cardiology (ACC), etc.).
The role also involves assisting in the reaccreditation process and quality improvement program for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Echocardiography (IAC-Echo).
The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and urgent echocardiograms
- Evaluate pathology following current guidelines
- Assist in the reaccreditation process and quality improvement program
- Analyze patient's medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures
- Communicate technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelines
Requirements:
- Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification
- ARDMS/CCI certification in Echocardiography
- BLS certification
