Speech Therapist

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is a vital member of our interdisciplinary team at Payson Care Center. As a skilled professional, you will provide direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

• Assessment and Treatment Planning: Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals for patients.
• Therapy Services: Provide direct speech therapy services to patients, including evaluation, treatment, and documentation of progress.
• Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with patients, families, support departments, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Documentation and Charting: Accurately and timely document patient progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information.
• Professional Development: Maintain ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria, and participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.

• Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP), ASHA certified (CCCs), and currently registered/licensed in applicable State.
• Experience: One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred.
• Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail; possess excellent customer service and communication skills; and demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, requiring the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a high level of productivity while ensuring excellent patient care.
