We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician I to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a key member of our psychiatric unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist professional staff in the care of psychiatric patients, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Facilitate patient activities of daily living, including vital sign checks and charting.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate and care for patients, applying physical restraints or seclusion under direct supervision.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles, providing age-specific care and treatment.
- Participate in safety education programs, root cause analyses, and quality improvement initiatives.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate Program in Certified Nursing Assistant or some college-level social science preferred.
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience required; Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
- Driver's license and valid driving record required; Child Protective Services clearance required upon hire.
