Grocery Clerk

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our Bakery/Deli team at Kroger. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment, and promoting our products to drive sales and growth.

• Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide solutions to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on our products, including ingredients, nutritional information, and preparation methods, to effectively recommend and promote our offerings.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment, including cleaning equipment, floors, and displays, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and profit goals, and provide support and assistance as needed.

• Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management to ensure seamless operations and achieve sales and profit goals.
• Math Skills: Accurately handle cash, operate a cash register, and perform basic math calculations to process transactions and manage inventory.
• Food Safety Certification: Obtain and maintain current food safety certification to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Bakery or Deli Experience: Previous experience working in a bakery or deli environment, preferably in a retail setting.
• Retail Experience: Previous experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role.
