Operating Room Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Operating Room at Sentara CarePlex Hospital. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, with a focus on perioperative care.
Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify potential health risks
- Round checks and administer medications as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Communicate effectively with family members, providing clear and concise information about patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines
- Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
- Registered Nurse License
- Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License
