Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to production employees to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Production Planning: Oversee the daily workflow and assign work based on the production schedule.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and replenish raw materials within the department.
  • Quality Control: Ensure testing is complete for quality department.
  • Communication: Collaborate effectively with all departments to achieve production goals.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performance Management: Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Timekeeping: Review and process timecards for accuracy.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Ensure employees maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Incident Reporting: Complete accident reports and follow-up with corrective actions when applicable.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assure that the department is compliant with standards for hazardous waste disposal.
  • Disciplinary Action: Conduct disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Team Coverage: Cover PTO and other time off for supervisors within the department.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of supervising others and leadership skills.
  • Initiative: Self-starter with initiative to tackle projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production problems as they arise.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Delegation: Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office.
  • Availability: Ability to work overtime when necessary.
