About the Auto Body Mechanic Position

As a skilled Auto Body Technician with First Student, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. Your expertise will be essential in performing automotive body repairs, including straightening bent bodies, removing dents, and replacing damaged parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs damaged sheet metal and body repairs, using hand and power tools to remove, replace, or repair body parts.
  • Documents all repair and maintenance actions on work orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensures vehicle security and safety while in the shop, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Provides written estimates of repair when requested, communicating effectively with customers and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must have own tools
  • Auto Body & Collision Damage repair certificates preferred
  • 3+ years of experience within an auto body repair facility
  • ASE credentials preferred
