Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Export Coordinator to join our team at GEODIS Group. As an Export Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating and executing shipments to ensure adequate service levels of clients are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and edit export orders, commercial invoices, and other necessary documents.
  • Arrange shipments through contracted carriers and review pertinent domestic and foreign trade regulations.
  • Communicate with vendors, government agencies, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain organized files and records of international shipments and update as necessary.
  • Provide clerical support, including sorting and distribution of documents to team members.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in exportation of goods or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit and ocean freight movement preferred.
  • PC literate with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Work, Access, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and mathematical skills essential for accuracy in pricing.
Working Environment

The Export Coordinator will frequently sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
