Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to become an integral part of our dynamic Engineering team. This position is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of our machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Repair or replace defective equipment components using hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve mechanical challenges.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, proposing enhancements to equipment and processes.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and improvements in accordance with company protocols.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the engineering sector or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
- A degree from a vocational school or a BSc/BA in business administration or facility management is advantageous.
- Certification from a vocational institution or completion of an apprenticeship is a significant plus.
