Southwood Children's Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, ensuring patients' status is assessed on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely care.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to practice nursing in accordance with state requirements.
- One year of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse nursing.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
