Position OverviewWe're seeking a Sales Associate - Part Time to join our team at Penn Square Mall. As a Sales Associate, you'll be responsible for driving revenue by providing exceptional customer service, building relationships, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

- Provide excellent customer service by anticipating client needs, exceeding expectations, and adhering to our service experience standards
- Acknowledge, interact, and build relationships with clients, creating client loyalty and multi-tasking while servicing internal and external clients
- Address client concerns, coming to resolution when possible, and involving management where appropriate

- Be responsible for compliance with all company policies, practices, and procedures and all federal, state, and local laws
- Complete opening/closing procedures and tasks as directed by the Leadership Team with a client focus (e.g., replenishing merchandise; recovering the store and styling rooms; processing shipment including but not limited to: unpacking, hanging, steaming; cleaning including but not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, and removing trash; executing merchandising moves; marketing updates; and completing price changes)
- Meet merchandise processing standards and maintain an organized and accessible work area
- Adhere to Loss Prevention practices and be aware of and report potential incidents, to ensure shortage control and protect company assets
- Maintain a safe work environment and report any potential hazards to store management (e.g., ensuring that exits are unobstructed, ceiling clearance in the stockroom is enforced, rugs are not frayed, spills are cleaned up immediately, etc.)
- Participate and assist in the preparation for the store's inventory
- Report to work as scheduled; record time worked accurately by using our Time and Attendance system; remain flexible to the needs of the business
- Follow all company operational guidelines, processes, and procedures
- Review Bulletin Boards daily
- Demonstrate a desire and ability to be learner responsible and navigate our computer learning systems
- Perform register transactions quickly and efficiently (e.g., sales, send sales, returns, exchanges, payments)
- Be proficient in using Distributed Order Maintenance (DOM's) and StyleFinder to locate product for clients and process transactions accurately
- Operate the phone, answering calls with an appropriate greeting, transferring, and placing calls on hold
- Operate and understand the functions of the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Understand and clearly articulate our brand positioning, including: the uniqueness of all expressions of Ann Taylor, current marketing and promotional initiatives, markdowns, POS events, Bounce Back promotions, coupon events, lifestyle concepts to internal and external clients
- Live our Purpose, Values & Behaviors, Practices in all interactions
- Participate in and attend Store Meetings
- Proactively use associate education tools to build product and styling knowledge with peers
- Embrace fashion, understand current market trends, and articulate them using our interpretations in every client interaction. Represent the brand by adhering to our dress code guidelines
- Pack and wrap client purchases according to our standards
- Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring that the client remains the top priority. Take initiative to build a loyal client base
- Follow Directions: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision and within designated timeframes
- Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain with our guidelines
- Communication: Communicate effectively with Clients, Members of Management, Business Partners, and Store Associates
- Accuracy: Ability to handle cash and provide change without error
- Schedule: Remain flexible in scheduling that meets the needs of the business
- Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. Maneuver effectively around the sales floor and stockroom
- Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year sales associate or relevant experience in the services industry with proven results
