Key Responsibilities
  • Process Design & Optimization: Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes to enhance production efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce operational costs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with industry safety standards and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety assessments and implementing necessary changes.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
  • Project Management: Manage and execute process improvement projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to provide technical support, training, and guidance on process operations and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all process designs, changes, and procedures to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Equipment Optimization: Evaluate and optimize equipment performance, working with maintenance teams to schedule and perform preventive maintenance and upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly and effectively diagnose and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.
  • Research & Development: Participate in research and development activities to innovate and improve existing processes and develop new manufacturing methods.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of chemical processes, process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS), and industrial equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex process-related issues.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects from inception to completion, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Safety Focus: Deep understanding of industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and risk management practices.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
