About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Appian Software Developer to join our team at BigBear Inc. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex workflow applications using Appian's latest features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with an Agile team to deliver solutions using a combination of Appian features, including DataFabric, integrations, interfaces, process models, CDTs, expression rules, and reports.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to design conceptual workflows and related actions to support customer visions within the solution.
  • Provide guidance to Product Owners and Business Analysts regarding implementation complexity to aid customers in deciding which approach to pursue from a cost/benefit perspective.
  • Demonstrate features to the team during Daily Stand-Ups as you complete them.
  • Participate in all Agile-based ceremonies, including assisting the team with story estimation.
  • Execute unit tests and integration tests against your changes.
  • Assist other Appian developers with their tasks from a peer programming perspective, including reviewing SAIL code and implementation approach.
  • Build the DevOps pipeline to promote Appian objects/packages.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet team/customer quality standards, as well as functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Lead a team of developers, create best practices, and review code.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in a relevant technical or scientific field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 5+ years of software development experience with Appian development (or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow-up in a timely manner.
  • The ability to turn written and verbal requirements into process flows and interfaces.
  • Ability to lead a team of junior developers.
