Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a Radiologic Imaging Specialist II (PRN), also known internally as our Radiology Tech II at Providence Medical Center. This role focuses on performing diagnostic X-ray procedures, utilizing advanced imaging technology to capture detailed images of patients' internal anatomy for diagnostic evaluation. You will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers by delivering high-quality images that support the diagnosis of medical conditions and the development of treatment strategies for our patients. This position operates on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, or other imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols, while cross-training as a CT Tech.
- Ensure the proper functioning of X-ray equipment and maintain high-quality imaging standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Engage with patients to explain procedures, address any concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during imaging examinations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures, including patient information, images, and pertinent medical history.
- Stay informed about advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing education to uphold licensure and certification.
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) initiatives and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP).
- Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and your Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license.
Qualifications:
- Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as mandated by State regulations.
- Appropriate national certifications in two imaging modalities.
- Current BCLS certification accredited by the AHA.
- Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program (JRCERT accreditation preferred).
- Proficient computer skills.
- One year of experience in Acute Clinical Radiography is preferred.
