We are seeking a skilled Histo Tech to join our team in beautiful Palm Springs, CA. As a Histo Tech, you will play a critical role in preparing and staining tissue sections for microscopic interpretation by our pathologists.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and staining tissue sections from surgical and cytological material
  • Embedding, sectioning, and staining tissue for microscopic interpretation
  • Performing frozen sections and staining as needed
  • Monitoring block and slide storage and disposal
  • Demonstrating proficiency on Laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Complying with hospital and Laboratory safety policies and procedures
  • Performing general duties in the grossing area as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Histology or registry-eligible, ASCP CA state certification
  • 1 year working as a certified histology technician or 2 years completion of training under Board certified Pathologist
