Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Histo Technician to join our team at Palm Careers LLC. As a Histo Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and staining tissue sections for microscopic interpretation by our pathologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process surgical specimens in accordance with established procedures
  • Embed, section, and stain tissue for microscopic interpretation by the pathologist
  • Perform frozen sections and staining as needed
  • Monitor block and slide storage and disposal
  • Demonstrate proficiency on Laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Comply with hospital and Laboratory safety policies and procedures
  • Perform general duties in grossing area as needed
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Histology or registry-eligible, ASCP CA state certification
  • 1 year working as a certified histology technician or 2 years completion of training under Board certified Pathologist
