Job Summary:
Ohel Children's Home and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered planning and delivery of services to older adults in their home. This is a part-time position based in Far Rockaway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide face-to-face services to assist individuals in connecting with community-based recovery supports consistent with their treatment plan.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with the program's policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans that promote long-term recovery from mental health issues.
- Collaborate with fellow team members, individuals, clients, families, and the community to ensure effective service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in Motivational Interviewing, WRAP, and other evidence-based interventions.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification by OMH or OASAS as a Peer Specialist with experience working with behavioral health populations.
