Tax Director

At Armanino, we offer a unique opportunity for tax professionals to grow their careers and make a meaningful impact on our clients' success. As a Tax Director, Corporate, you will be responsible for leading complex tax engagements and developing strategic tax plans that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead technical review of corporate tax compliance engagement work papers and deliverables, including federal, state, and local tax returns, quarterly estimates, vouchers, extension, and projections.
- Prepare and perform technical review of global income tax provisions, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide consultation on business transactions, including tax implications, consequences, and treatment.
- Collaborate with technical matter specialists to ensure seamless execution of tax engagements.
- Review responses to and communicate with IRS and other regulatory and tax authorities' audits, notices, and inquiries.
- Manage larger and complex engagements, workflow of multiple clients, and related deliverables to minimize risk and surprises, maximize engagement economics, including budgets and billing, and meet internal and external deadlines.
- Lead people teams, mentor, and identify assignment resource requirements, ensuring the most appropriate resources are assigned to specific assignment roles.
- Technically train and develop less experienced individuals responsible for engagement management responsibilities, including managing budgets, scheduling, and staffing, due date management, and client relations.
- Review or conduct high-level research of complex or emerging tax issues and prepare memorandums to support conclusions.
- Continually build on technical expertise in taxation by attending continuing professional education courses or utilizing other training resources and develop tax specialty or area of expertise.
- Keep current with tax law changes and provide updates and training to the firm's tax practice members.
- Pursue new business development, extended tax services, and cross-sell for existing clients.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related discipline.
- CPA or equivalent credential.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members.
- Ability to sign tax returns.
- Master's Degree in Taxation.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. The compensation range for this position is $178,250-$279,600. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
