Position OverviewWe are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to become an integral part of our team. This role involves being a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, focusing on representing and advocating for volunteer services. The Coordinator will identify volunteer needs, recruit individuals, and effectively match volunteers with patients and families in need.
Qualifications- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or four years of relevant experience
- Experience in healthcare/hospice or volunteer management is preferred
- Prior volunteer experience is advantageous
- Proficient in operating computers, fax machines, copiers, and mobile devices
- Ability to understand the unique needs of hospice patients and their families
- Awareness of the emotional challenges faced by individuals dealing with terminal illnesses
- CPR Certification required
- Must possess current automobile insurance and a valid driver's license
