Job Overview

EMH&T is seeking a skilled Water Resources Professional to join our team in Columbus, OH. This role involves preparing calculations, participating in studies, and developing solutions for stormwater management and flood risk assessment, mapping, and mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of technical calculations and participation in studies related to stormwater management and flood risk assessment, mapping, and mitigation.
  • Field assessments and completion of associated technical documentation.
  • Assistance with and/or leading the development of technical proposals.
  • Client meetings, including agenda development and follow-up work assignments.
  • Quality control reviews and support to the team.
  • Collaboration with professionals from other EMH&T practice areas for overall project delivery.
  • Mentoring and leadership, with a focus on professional development and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 4-8 years of experience.
  • Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Significant experience with modeling software applications such as HydroCAD and HEC-RAS.
  • Strong technical report writing ability.
  • Preference given to candidates with a Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on water resources and proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS.
