MRI Technologist

As an MRI Technologist at MD Anderson Center, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. You will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce detailed images of the body's internal structures. Your expertise will help healthcare professionals diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI scans on patients, ensuring accurate and safe imaging procedures
Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, adhering to quality control standards
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce wait times
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
Graduate of an approved American Medical Association (AMA) Radiologic Technology program
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification by the ARRT within 60 days of job entry
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience as an MRI Technologist or Radiologic Technologist at MD Anderson Center
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)/Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS)
