We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Registered Nurse to join our team at INEOS Nitriles. As an Occupational Health Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, interpret, administer, and evaluate all phases of the Occupational Health Program.
- Provide nursing evaluations and care to employees with personal illnesses and injuries.
- Promote injury and illness prevention, employee wellness, and environmental health.
- Assist in contractor medical emergencies as required.
- Perform annual physicals and testing for identified groups.
- Ensure that Occupational Health policies and procedures are maintained.
- Manage leave processes, including FMLA and parental/family leave.
- Implement Disability Management and related illness programs.
- Work with contracted physicians and employees to develop return-to-work plans.
- Provide direct nursing care under doctor's standing orders and government guidelines.
- Administer health surveillance programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Assist in coordination of training and continuing education for employees.
- Recommends, conducts, and evaluates wellness programs.
- Helps develop the annual budget and manages spend within budget.
- Conducts routine and annual inspections/calibrations of medical equipment.
- Refers employees with social/emotional issues to the Employee Assistance Program.
- Assists Human Resources Department in matters involving employee Medical/Health issues.
- Reports all work-related exposures/injuries/illnesses to management.
- Registered Nurse Occupational Health Certification or 5+ years of occupational experience.
- Specimen Collector Certification.
- ACLS Certification.
- Audio Testing certification with CAOHC.
- Pulmonary Function Testing qualified with NIOSH.
- Effective listening skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Decisive judgment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Job-specific physical demands include balance, stoop/bend, squat, stand, lift, simple grasp, repetitive motion of wrist, hands, and fingers.
- Need to evaluate understanding of proper body mechanics for sitting at a desk.
