Job Description:

The Clinical Patient Safety Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of patient care within our healthcare organization. This position requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and drive strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient safety programs.
  • Analyze adverse event reports and identify trends.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and assessments.
  • Facilitate hospital-wide safety training for clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to improve safety protocols.
  • Coordinate root cause analyses for sentinel events.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Lead multidisciplinary committees focused on patient safety.
  • Design and distribute safety-related communication materials.
  • Utilize data analysis to drive strategic decisions.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of safety interventions.
  • Advocate for a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Provide ongoing education and resources for staff on patient safety.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and innovations.
  • Collaborate with risk management and clinical quality departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Current nursing license or certification in healthcare safety.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare or clinical settings.
  • Experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and reporting systems.
  • CERTIFICATION in patient safety or quality management preferred.
  • Commitment to continuing education in patient safety and healthcare quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
