Mortgage Compliance Analyst II Job Summary

Mortgage Compliance Analyst II is responsible for providing key support to the Mortgage Compliance Program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements. This role involves auditing and assessments, policy maintenance, and research of regulatory developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation for agency, investor, and state exams, as well as CFPB origination requirements.
  • Maintain policies and procedures to support the Compliance Program, including custodial duties.
  • Perform assessments and targeted reviews to document gaps and track remediation plans.
  • Research regulatory developments and changes relevant to compliance and all lines of business.
  • Provide periodic testing reports to Compliance Management.
  • Gather, investigate, and review additional information, conduct research and/or testing as necessary, including targeted reviews.
  • Perform and own specialized areas of responsibility, such as Licensing, Vendor Management, Community Templates, Consumer Complaints, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 2-4 years of general mortgage industry or business compliance experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong Excel spreadsheet skills required, PowerPoint preferred.
  • Ability to function independently and prioritize workload.
  • Working knowledge of Encompass, a plus.
  • Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
