Job Summary:

The Field Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety protocols on construction sites, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project-level safety management programs
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams and contractors
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement safety plans and procedures
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for project teams and contractors
Requirements:
  • OSHA 510/500 Certification
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Knowledge of heavy mechanical work in construction (Piping, HVAC, Mechanical Work, Gas Work, etc.)
  • Experience in managing and/or providing technical oversight of ES&H subcontractors or consultants
  • Experience in ES&H assessments/inspection during construction
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and physical risks and the mechanisms to mitigate them
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CHST Certification
  • Associates or Bachelors (2-4 years of college) in Environmental and/or Occupational Safety
