Job Overview

At Kingston Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing outstanding care and services within a nurturing environment. We are currently in search of a skilled Maintenance Assistant to contribute to the upkeep of our facilities and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the upkeep and repair of essential facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to pinpoint and address maintenance requirements.
  • Respond efficiently to maintenance inquiries from various departments, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Engage in general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in liaising with external vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to facility maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
