Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Santa Fe Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures
Assist with snow and ice removal
Assist journeyman workers as needed
Provide excellent customer service
Prepare job estimates and prioritize materials, time, and labor required to complete assignments
Receive and accurately record all work performed in the district electronic work order system
Properly account for costs, including hours worked, materials used, and contracted services used to complete work orders
Use and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles assigned, and assure that everything is maintained and used safely
Perform all work using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Maintenance Safety Plan
Assist Maintenance Supervisor in planning projects

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior manual labor experience
Any combination of diversified maintenance experience and/or training in maintenance trades equaling three (3) years of experience
Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, materials, and equipment to perform the jobs
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions for the applicable trades
Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
Ability to adapt to changing work priorities, communicate with diverse groups, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team
