Job Summary

We are hiring a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician to assist in maintaining, repairing, and updating our organization's machines and equipment. The successful candidate will operate equipment safely, adhere to standard operating procedures, and identify opportunities for safety improvements. This role does not require personal tools, as the company will provide the necessary equipment and personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including the use of personal protective equipment as required.
  • Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisors and management.
  • Assists in troubleshooting equipment failures, determines the cause of defects, and undertakes corrective action as needed.
  • Operates machine shop equipment, including lathes, millers, saws, pipe thread machines, grinders, drill presses, shapers, and more, to produce acceptable parts as directed.
  • Completes training programs, such as Crane Safety, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, and Powered Industrial Truck, as prescribed by the HR/Safety Department.
  • Maintains accurate records for all work completed.
  • Works overtime as business needs require.
  • Cleans and returns all tools.
  • Attends meetings and participates as required.
  • Upholds a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent training as approved by the Immediate Supervisor, Next Level Supervision, and Human Resources Department.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine-specific SOPs.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of 3-phase industrial electricity.
  • Proficient knowledge of AC/DC schematics.
  • Understands proper application of electrical codes.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of solid-state electronics.
  • Ability to read schematic drawings.
  • Ability to size electrically.
  • Proficient knowledge in the use of acetylene torches and electrical welding.
  • Knowledgeable in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient plumbing (pipe fitting) ability.
  • Basic carpentry skills.
