  • Create and review electrical design drawings, specifications, and documentation, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement design strategies and solutions to meet project requirements and objectives, collaborating with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance in design work, maintaining a high level of technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with other disciplines, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Perform quality control checks and review designs for accuracy and functionality, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in meetings and presentations to communicate project progress and findings, effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Produce electrical area classification drawings, one-line drawings, medium voltage power distribution drawings, lighting plans, grounding plans, and other electrical drawings associated with process chemical facilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 6-12 years of experience in electrical design for engineering consulting firms.
  • Experience with Autodesk Plant 3D, Revit, or Elecdes software; familiarity with EasyPower software (Arc Flash Studies).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with power distribution, lighting design, and low voltage systems.
