Wheeled Vehicle Technician

The U.S. Army is seeking skilled individuals to fill the role of Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. As a key member of the Army team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing wheeled vehicles and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair wheeled vehicles, including trailers and material handling equipment.
- Inspect and service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and starting and charging systems.
- Perform wheeled vehicle recovery operations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
- Must meet Army height and weight standards.
- Must have a GED or high school diploma.
- Must enlist in the United States Army.
Job training for a wheeled vehicle mechanic requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instructions.
Helpful Skills:- Interest in auto mechanics and the industrial arts.
- Enjoy physical work.
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
- Interest in automotive engines and how they work.
