Electrical Engineer for Industrial Water Systems Design

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Industrial Water sector at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and executing projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on industrial water and wastewater treatment systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering design tasks on assigned projects, including electrical drawings, reports, presentations, and technical calculations.
  • Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches for all project sizes, and support marketing professionals in positioning for potential projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in client requirement meetings, coordination meetings with internal and/or external consultants, and owner and contractor meetings.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
  • Perform on technically complex projects and may act as a technical resource to other team members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of ten years of related work experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred, but licensed engineer in training (EIT) with plans to pursue a professional engineer (PE) license will be considered.
  • Experience with distribution systems operating at 120/208V, 480V, and 4160V.
  • Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production.
  • Familiarity with Revit is a plus, but not a required.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
