We are seeking skilled professionals for the role of Maintenance Mechanic 1 at our manufacturing facility in Russell County, Virginia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will install, repair, and maintain facility equipment and machinery under minimal supervision to maintain required production levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of equipment problems and make repairs on production equipment.
  • Support Production: Ensure safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment to support production goals.
  • Work Orders: Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Assist with established preventive maintenance activities and identify new opportunities for improvement.
  • Programming and Troubleshooting: Program Variable Frequency Drives or Servo motor drives and troubleshoot PLC programs and robotics equipment.
  • Mentoring and Training: Mentor and train existing and new maintenance employees.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certification: Certification or equivalent experience in the mechanical field.
  • Experience: 4 years prior maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge: Current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of variable frequency drives and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and integrity, team player, and diversity awareness.

Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
