Key Responsibilities:


The ideal candidate will demonstrate self-motivation and thrive in a collaborative environment, possessing the ability to absorb, analyze, and provide scientific and technical insights across a wide range of biological and chemical disciplines. They will effectively simplify and convey intricate technical ideas to empower non-technical managers in making informed choices and to articulate R&D impacts to high-level officials and policymakers.

The role may encompass the following duties:

- Investigating and advising on cutting-edge technologies, particularly in relation to CBRNE,

- Assessing the practicality of technical solutions to challenges,

- Reviewing CBRNE-related technical documentation and offering critiques on methodologies and outcomes,

- Formulating and assessing strategies for scientific capability development,

- Creating and refining testing and evaluation methods,

- Evaluating the effectiveness, safety, and lifecycle costs of proposed or implemented scientific solutions,

- Establishing, overseeing, and maintaining a centralized repository of technical program information (e.g., reports, requirements, etc.),

- Organizing, coordinating, and engaging in meetings, discussions, and seminars focused on CBRNE threats and detection technologies,

- Communicating scientific results to both technical and non-technical audiences as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree along with the experience requirements outlined below.

Degrees may be in biology, chemistry, physics, or a CBRNE-related discipline:

SECRET clearance (or eligibility to obtain at least an Interim Secret clearance)

All Levels:
CBRNE Analyst Junior-Level: 1-2 years of professional experience $67,800 - $105,975

CBRNE Senior Analyst

Mid-Level Analyst:
3-5 years of professional experience $74,500 - $116,425

CBRNE SME 1 Senior-Level: 5-10 years of professional experience $90,300 - $141,075

CBRNE SME 2 Expert-Level: 10 or more years of professional experience $109,100 - $170,450

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and critiquing scientific manuscripts, akin to a peer-review process

Comfort in discussing technical aspects of laboratory research

Expertise in areas concerning threats to domestic national security

Exceptional communication skills, including technical writing and editing, oral communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and the ability to engage with performers and project managers

Publications, patents, or other documented proof of expertise in relevant fields.

Self-driven with the capability to outline paths to success, including troubleshooting and independently interpreting instructions and guidance to complete tasks.

Evidence of providing scientific advice to stakeholders, both in written and verbal formats, targeting both technical and non-technical audiences. This may include conference presentations, industry days, publications, feasibility studies, or market research on state-of-the-art technologies and their implications.


Experience in offering strategic scientific guidance, such as technology roadmaps, feasibility studies, and market research regarding the limits of state-of-the-art technology.

Experience in facilitating technology transition from research and development to operational use.

Experience supporting the Department of Defense

Demonstrated strong technical writing capabilities, aimed at both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Project).

Candidates with a Secret (Top Secret/SCI) clearance are strongly preferred.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws.

The projected salary range for this position is included within the posting and is based on full-time status. Part-time staff receive a prorated salary based on their regularly scheduled hours.

The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.
